      Pros

      UC Merced is a growing campus with many new an exciting opportunities. Everything is growing and evolving. Change and innovation is encouraged.

      Cons

      It is hard to compete with the other UC's that have more to offer. Some of the employees aren't the most qualified, but that happens with any new company. You need to have a pioneering spirit, willing to have less now to get more in the future.

      Pros

      Environment was fun to work in. Supervisors and managers are very invested in employee development, and work closely to help develop skills and passions.

      Cons

      There are some slight hints of favoritism of some student employees among some of the managers. Some former coworkers had issues with the "progressive" and inclusive nature of the environment.
