Pros

Being an assistant project scientist is great as a transition period after grad school. You will learn to work as a project leader, and know more about academia life. Also, you will have flexible working time.

Cons

This job will not provide very good payment.

Pros

Flexible hours, great research environment, newer research buildings.

Cons

There are no long term contracts for project scientists and you never know when you can be let go. If the project's funding ends, the position is over and any chance of extension is gone. Not really a position on can use to make any future plans.
