Pros

The benefits are very good, and the work/life balance is respected. The people are friendly and cordial for the most part.

Cons

Not a lot of potential for job growth. They keep you at your level, and will pass you up for promotions if you are not what they visually see as fit for the position. They will keep you on contract for many years if you do not threaten them with leaving. They will also dump you with a horrible position if you do not make a move for a better one. You also have to deal with many "anti-social" co-workers under technology. Many don't even say hello, and you have to watch who you even say hello too unless you want to get snubbed because of their shyness. This is my experience with working under technology. This may differ depending on the group you work under at UC Riverside.

Pros

The University of Riverside Extension Center is a diverse place to work. It offers great benefits for mid-level positions and a great environment to work in.

Cons

The University of Riverside Extension Center doesn't offer much growth or promotions for many student workers, along with no benefits.
