Give you flexible hours and work around your schedule Friendly staff and coworkers Good communication from upper level management Willingness to train and equip you for the job

Cons

Equipment is not the best - understandable being a public school Unless you are no longer a student, there's not a lot of room to advance Minimum wage - again, public school

A great place to work if you are also a student

Pros

The schedule is very flexible, which is great if you're a student because you can go right from class to work or work to class. It's also the highest paying student job at UCSB.

Cons

The job is almost exactly what a professor does, except the pay is a quarter of what a professor gets.

Supporting staffs are very helpful.

Cons

I was working for an engineering department. Its IT support division is heavily understaffed, and thus leads to delay of their services sometimes.
