Very good for work/life balance, but limited opportunity for advancement, no raises ever.

Pros
Beautiful place, some flexibility in work schedule, good supervisors. Enjoyable work, convenient shuttles around campus. Supportive of professional development with some financial support at times. Reduced fees if enrolled in classes.
Cons
Very large organization tends to focus on big changes, ignoring details and not including staff enough when it comes to incorporating changes. No work from home, no more childcare for staff. Work will be piled on you if you show initiative and interest, but without compensation or opportunity for advancement. No promoting from within. Co-workers disinterested in updating processes to work more efficiently, even if it would make their jobs easier.
