Pros

Relatively good freedom to pursue independent research interests. Great vacation and pension benefits. Work hours are reasonable. Commute is very convenient.

Cons

Projects subject to the whims of civil servants who manage the projects, who quite often make poor decisions. No sense of urgency for completion of work or projects. Objectives are not to get the real research work done, but to publish research papers so that it can be demonstrated to the public how the research funds are spent.

Pros

Good pay, nice way to network and work on leadership skills. Nice way to get to know a professor and also other MSI tutors to get hook ups on classes.

Cons

Mandatory meetings and trainings especially during weekends really suck. Some students can be pretty annoying as well. Holding review sessions are intense too.
