Pros

Huge state school. Great cafeterias. Nice dorms. That's all.

Cons

It's a state school. Not really recommend it if you're not Californian. School readmission process is non-sense, but it's different for each department where you belong to. No public transportation around the school.

Pros

Most professors understand that your schedule is busy and that classes come first, so they try to work around it.

Cons

It's up to you to make sure that you don't get stuck doing only administrative tasks and also have a chance to do some meaningful analyses. Just talk to your professor and be truthful about your knowledge of statistical software.
