Pros

Ease of job, club atmosphere, members. Great for younger college students or anyone starting in the fitness industry.

Cons

The hours worked are impossible to make sale quotas or come remotely close to hitting numbers. Although the work is easy, the pay is unrealistic for a full time working adult to make a decent living.

Pros

You get to learn a lot about fitness and get to use the gym for free, but that's pretty much it.

Cons

If you are in sales, be prepared to be overworked and underpaid, 60+ hours a week on a $1,500/month minimum salary if you don't exceed that in sales which you usually won't even if you're a great salesman. All the veterans seem to know how to work the front desk people so they spoon feed them all the REAL SIGN-UPS.
