Most people are only interested in getting their stuff made, and have no room or tolerance for your schedule. Managers will message you five to ten times a day about something you just started. There is no clear marketing strategy to work on and everything being done is purely reactionary, not thought out. There is also this huge sense of micromanagement despite the managers rarely ever actually producing any work themselves. If you don't send assets every day they assume you aren't working and will make sure to give you a lecture about it.
Below average pay for fields (65k for Designers), and amount of work they want you to complete. Benefits are horrendous as well, very limited PTO, 7-13k deductible for the insurance plans offered to FTEs, and they hang this mythical 'bonus' over your head as part of your compensation package but never actually give you any details about it like the percent, average bonus company-wide, or low to high end, so really it's just a way to get you to buy into being underpaid and come bonus time they'll cheap out.
Easily agitated managers as well. My first day the manager made sexually explicit remarks after grabbing a coworkers phone to look at their wedding pictures, and on multiple occasions referred to African Americans as "blacks". Really would not consider this work environment safe unless you are a white man. On top of this, managers routinely yell and scream at their reportees over their own faults. Generally the staff in charge is adamant about not adapting to any new cultural shifts in the workplace. The manager also travelled to different cities 2-3 weeks a month, but wants to see anything before it goes out and gets mad when things get of course because he travels so much for meetings that more than likely could be over Teams.
