Pros

The working environment is nice. The new MyTime benefits package is great. Flexible workplace.

Cons

There is no work-life balance. The Indianapolis Tech Center does not focus on training. They focus on throwing workers into projects before they are ready. The bonus compensation plan is unreasonable.

Pros

This is the best tech company in South Florida. CEO is awesome. It covers 100% of medical expenses for your family. There's a yearly trip to Universal for the dev team with all the toppings (Portofino Hotel, reception party, park tickets, etc). There's a good spirit and active intention on producing quality code. If you are lucky to get under a nice manager you get to go to a conference per year.

Cons

There are several managers at high and medium level that are just evil. Many decision get made based on political reasons despite the obvious pitfalls. Wheels get reinvented a lot because the previous one was under a different manager. Managers main goal is to increase headcount. You will be treated and called either resource or headcount. I am having a hard time not explaining how much damage this does to the product. To be fair almost every person out there that wants power and control over people will behave like this managers or team leads I am referring to. I have been here for around 10 years and survived a lot of the madness. Getting into the details of what is wrong would do too much damage and might be outside of the guidelines of this site. The latest trend of hiring tech stars has turned into an ingrown mass that has learned the ulti way. This has created an echo chamber of antipatterns. If you are a developer trying to grow working with peers feeling the same level of relevance look elsewhere. If you are in South Florida, maybe a smaller company would offer more fun at work and sense of accomplishment.

Pros

The idea of the culture - "People First", is a wonderful ideology. Great Benefits and perks.

Cons

The idea of the culture - "People First", is a wonderful ideology. I am sure in years past that was the case. I know many of the employees that have been there for many years and can tell you it was a different place years ago; but now, it is not. The company boasts that it is one of the best places to work...that is true for some but not all. The environment is very political (although they claim it is not). There are alliances and management is not held accountable for its failures and inappropriate behavior. There is nepotism, favoritism, disparate treatment and many cases a hostile wok environment. There is no true HT department and instead of working through problems with compassion and mediation with equal treatment on both sides. Management protects each other and does not want to engage in equal and fair opportunity for resolution. If you do not "Tow the Line" or ask questions or stand up for others or what is right you are hounded and penalized and either fired or they make it so difficult to stay that you quit.
