Pros

This should be a five star review. My experience was very good. The product is surprisingly complex with some good (altho slightly older) technology. The company was filled with truly intelligent people. Hours are good, 3 days a week in office. Random free food and schwag. DEI&B works for how UKG does it. while there are "big company" issues, ukg minimized them in my time.

Cons

One in Seven U-Krewers were just laid off in what can be generously called a disaster. Forget there are VPs trying to recreate a dev process circa 2007, forget some technology is hugely dated, forget the perpetual customer dissatisfaction, forget they are trending to moving jobs overseas. Forget a lot of flaws. Before taking a UKG job you have to ask yourself just how stable is the company? how well run is it?

Pros

Definitely the people. The benefits are good (for now).

Cons

The CEO is archaic forcing everyone back into the office 3 days a week. The majority of us working from home are getting the job done and instead of weeding out those who are not, they punish those that do!! There have been layoffs all the while hiring more people. The benefits are good now but will be changing based on the survey we received. The higher ups only care about profit. No longer does this company care about its employees. They are no longer transparent. There’s no more trust. Managers are not able to be free to think on their own as they are too afraid of losing their jobs. This company is going to hell in a hand basket!! The two stars are for the people and the benefits now. I’m no longer proud to work here. I’m actually ashamed. Two great companies totally destroyed by the new CEO.

Pros

Pay, fully paid healthcare for family. 401k match.

Cons

Constant reorganizations leaving us completely lost as to who does what. I’ve had 4 managers in the last year, 2 of which were laid off recently and 1 was forced out with an early retirement package. 3 of the 4 were excellent leaders. The other one barely talked to me. 3 years after the merger, we still have too many systems and too many manual duplicative processes. There’s definite rumors about our great benefits package being cut way back. We were actually sent a survey basically asking which benefits we preferred to be axed. The really good tenured and knowledgeable people are leaving in droves leaving behind newbies who don’t know what they are doing and have no real training or manager guidance to effectively ramp them up. I’m hopeful sr. leadership will realize all the abrupt changes and poor decisions they are making are directly impacting customer satisfaction, but they just continue down the wrong path.
