Pros

Ultimate Software was an incredible place to work. It stood alone in terms of its benefits and culture. That culture has been gutted since leadership left. I hope anyone applying to work there now reads current reviews of UKG instead of seeing the old, stellar reviews. Being an incredible place to work for 10+ years is a huge accomplishment and can carry a company in terms of maintaining their image even when things are going steeply downhill, which is what is happening. I have put in my notice after 10+ years, and many of my peers who have been here over a decade have done the same over the last few months. On the plus side.... - Some of the old benefits such as 401k still remain

Cons

- Benefits are being slowly eroded since merger - Talented and experienced employees are leaving in droves - Leadership is completely different, all leadership that made the company what it was is gone - Culture has completely changed, there is no more feeling of individual care & "family" - Managers are clearly receiving pressure from up top to treat employees a certain way, the change is drastic and you can see good managers leaving as the pressure escalates - Outsourcing is ramping up - Lots of talk about inclusivity and diversity that rings absolutely hollow - actions & talk around the protests last summer after George Floyd's murder were particularly egregious

Pros

Benefits are great, that’s about it, if your main concern is benefits and you’re ok with being belittled and made to feel worthless than go for it.

Cons

Avoid Bob’s operations organization at all costs, the directors and above are horrible selfish people who backstab and will throw you under the bus the first second they get to make themselves look good. Demoralizing other employees is applauded and don’t you dare speak up or contradict any of the dumb decisions the directors are making because you will be put on their naughty list and slowly removed from calls/meetings. Don’t believe what you see, the ads on LinkedIn are cult like and new employees (under 90days) are forced to speak well of the company for those ads.

Pros

Good Benefit Packet Unlimited PTO Not a terrible company, good enough to work for, but not good enough to close your door to other opportunities. If you get a bettered offer, run.

Cons

-Tech Salaries below market, which was not a great deal when the company put employees first. They now follow Big Tech footsteps, but being no way close to Big Tech compensation, and being actually below the industry standard. -No transparency from leadership -Corporate America mentality, profits first, employees are just game pieces. -Their slogan “Our purpose is people” is just a marketing thing at this point, the only people they care about are the executives getting big bonuses, and increased stock returns after layoffs. - Employees are being asked to work more to compensate for layoffs
