Pros

What a wonderful onboarding experience, the razzle dazzle of a good salary and amazing benefits.

Cons

I was bait and switched from the start. I interviewed for one role, was informed I'd be better at the Research Role, no adjustment to salary, and then the 2 day hybrid schedule changed to 3. The very first day in March 2023, there was a meeting about 200 or so layoffs. And a meeting about the schedule change. Everything about it gave me pause.

Pros

The employment benefits are fantastic and hard to beat. Specifically the fully paid healthcare. Many people at the company are great people to work with. Some great leaders at manager level. Not a bad company, just not what it used to be.

Cons

The direction of the company has changed significantly over the past few years as it's grown into a more corporate business. It feels like there is a new policy or change announced every few months that affects many workers. Examples include the incredibly rigid return to office policy, layoffs, and a lot of work being moved to India. While there are some fantastic people and leaders at the company, many people no longer trust or respect senior leadership including most of the VPs and C-suite.

Pros

Total comp package and benefits; great people at individual contributor through middle management levels

Cons

The brand may be "Our Purpose is People" but the culture is grossly lacking. It is nothing but a cute slogan, becoming laughable and meaningless. There are many smart and talented people at UKG that are wonderful to work with - but at the executive leadership level, something is very, very off, and it is being felt throughout the company. Employees are not cared for and this is evident in many ways, most notably in the lack of work flexibility and stringent in-office requirements being instituted, with NO consistency as to which groups must work in the office and which get to remain fully remote. The inequities are astounding - "We are better together" is shoved down our throats (with 0 supporting data) ... but then does not apply to everyone. Why are groups like Global Delivery Services, made up of ALL customer-facing implementation teams, entirely remote??? Why is HR nearly all remote with NO office presence (except maybe a few at headquarters), when the managers and employees they are supposed to be here to support are in-office??? Managers are repeatedly put in impossible positions to have to sell our employees on constant changes, re-orgs, restructures, return to office policies, layoffs, new strategies, you name it - none of which we have had any say in or heads up on, and all of which create significant distraction and disruption to the never-ending workload and pressure that our teams are under to perform at the highest level. It is truly exhausting.
