Pros

The faculty is passionate and tireless - they punch way above their weight class - and I saw many examples of their strong commitment to students The campus facilities are being rapidly upgraded The students and employees are very diverse and the environment is inclusive Excellent public transportation Campus is very safe Large amount of support services for students - helps with already overburdened departmental staff - you can feel good about sending students to general campus services There are large beautiful event spaces available to hold academic events in - makes it easy to entice students to participate in even mundane events

Cons

Pay is competitive with other public universities, but with MA choked with private colleges staff have left for better pay at worse schools; same with benefits The school is undergoing administrator bloat with admins being added faster than resources for teachers The "student as a consumer" mentality is creeping in There is a moderate amount of tenure track pressure

Pros

I worked as an academic tutor for the College of Management. As a student here, it was a convenient on-campus job. You are in the tutoring center for the amount of hours you are scheduled, and you get paid an hourly wage, even if no one shows up. When there's no one to tutor, we usually kill time doing homework or watching Netflix. At an hourly wage of $9-$10, it's fairly reasonable.

Cons

The room is the worst. It's small and dark. It gets cramped on busy days, which are sometimes difficult when there are multiple students and subjects to juggle around. You might go crazy during long hours of being in there because there are no windows and no sunlight.

Pros

Flexible schedule!!! great environment! Great boss who really kind and generous and good person and really cares about his employees. I couldn't ask for more. Pays fair.

Cons

Because I do cashier, the police usually pick you up at the end of the day to secure the money. Let's just say the police car is not comfortable as a limo. Also, the school cafeteria doesn't open at weekend, so you must prepare your own food and drinks if you're working while the cafe is not open.
