Management isn't effective, there is no accountability or alignment on goals, Turnover is high among new employees as leadership is lacking and people are unwilling to help each other.

A large retail corporation with a long tradition of hiring the right people for the right job. Good communications to associates.

Cons

SUPERVALU is going through a rough economic period and has, since 2007, been laying off wave after wave of longtime knowledgeable associates. The company seems to be going through an identity crisis and is preparing to spin off it's biggest money making banner in order to focus on the supply chain aspect of its business.
