Pros

I can not think of a Pro.

Cons

Never Ending Layoffs, at least once a year. Shrinking sales every year for the past 6 years. Senior Management turnover is very high. Have cut everything possible in order to save costs - Even cut out supplying cups or napkins in break rooms. Eliminated Dividends, Salary Increases, 401K contributions last year. Shrinking IT Organization with no career opportunities. Could go on and on.

Pros

The people were the greatest asset, talent there was with a combined retail/wholesale experience. The compensation is in line with the Grocery industry averages and there were plenty of opportunities for advancement. Very flexible work environment in which employees can work from home, coffee shops, etc. Investments in technology that gave the employees tools to be productive.

Cons

The company went through a rough transition period after it acquired the Albertson's business in 2006. Several changes in the Exec Suite brought different direction, attempts to change the culture and multiple cost savings initiative that impacted moral both at store level and in the Store Support Center (Corporate office).
