Pros

Current atmosphere/ culture of change. Reviewing compensation structure, benefits, organizational structure and needs assessment. Slow to react to change, currently more about putting out fires than being proactive to change history. Compilation of several mergers/acquisitions so long, complicated culture. Exciting time to be with employer. Long history. Sustainable

Cons

Communication needs to improve, culture has issues, long hours. lack of work life balance. All change takes time ( I have been there for years and see the company moving at a snails pace. Mid level management needs to be more plugged into corporate/executive level initiatives and communicate better.

Pros

Used to be a nice place to work until all the outsourcing began. Benefits are decent but that's about the only positive left. The banner-level companies are decent to work for, but SuperValu is taking more control everyday and the banners have lost their say. If you can brown nose and be lazy you'll go far in this company.

Cons

More concerned about saving money and shipping jobs to India and third party companies. Pay is well under market. No longer is there job security. They should rename the company to Albertsons since they've basically taken over. Upper management is dishonest and unprofessional. Keep your opinions to yourself, they'll tell you that you have a say but you really don't.

Pros

Large company in the retail space. Fairly good mobility due to significant number of open positions if you are willing to live in Minnesota. Many of them go unfilled for months and therefore they are willing to look at those not quite ready for the role, but receiving the opportunity could be worth the effort.

Cons

Consolidation to Minnesota is costing the company most of its best talent. It is being forced to settle for second or third best for most positions. Management is banking their future on consolidation into Minnesota at all costs. If it fails, downside could be extremely costly.
