Pros

At the core the work done by UNICEF is beneficial to the developing country population. There is job satisfaction that you are in someway affecting positive change. Great benefits - 6 weeks vacation; 6 month maternity leave; paternity leave; etc.

Cons

- Limited ability to move upward - especially from the general service category to the professional category

Pros

Great international environment at the organization. It doesn't matter if you have an accent or if you wear you country outfit.

Cons

High bureaucracy to take decisions. Big organization, difficult to get feedback from all country offices.
