Pros

Patient care can be rewarding

Cons

The workload was unmanageable. The staff were not team players. Patients were treated poorly. Charge nurses were rude and unsupportive. Nursing staff made extremely inappropriate and unethical comments. On my friend day, a coworker said discriminatory remarks about the LGBTQ community. I have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in a job.

Pros

As an LCSW in therapy position you're salary. UNMH will pay medical premium if you sign up at employee only. No annual raises guaranteed only union negotiated raises.

Cons

You make goals but feels pointless because annual/anniversary raises don't exist. No reimbursement for license renewal.

Your part of a facility that works to support the community

Cons

No support in upward movement. Told to figure out how to make things happen. No help in moving into a higher position. Not recognized for knowledge. Favoritism. Lack of communication.
