Pros

It’s a great place to gain experience as a new nurse.

Cons

They don’t incentivize loyalty. Don’t expect to get any significant raises.

Pros

UNM's clinicians really, really care about the mission. They're often given the leeway and focus to do what they need to do to take care of their patients. It was definitely the best part of the job. Clinicians at UNM truly care.

Cons

Leadership clearly lacks a backbone to effectively support our clinicians. They're constantly lacking in vision or basic understanding of the scope of work or how we add value. Constantly changing priorities and a lack of follow-through on basic questions of IT software functionality are telling. There's simply no awareness of industry standards or quality IT management. Petty politics reign supreme.
