Pros
Access to Purchase Food On-Site 24/7 (Jersey Jack's, but it's expensive, mediocre hospital food).
Cons
Security limited on ability to defend self and others (even when hit by patients with a crutch). All night shift staff required to use 1 hour of PTO when Daylight Savings Begins (spring forward) to have a full 12 hour shift (not allowed to opt out). Have to take the shuttle from offsite parking to work, which can take anywhere from 5-35 minutes. Shuttle doesn't always answer the phone, resulting in walking to the hospital in a high traffic area. All time clock corrections and PTO requests are done on paper, and must be tracked as paperwork OFTEN goes missing before reaching payroll. ER Lobby conditions are unsafe, and unreasonable wait times. A lot of staff treat patients terribly. HR upon hiring advised several of us experience we had (at other hospitals/corrections) did not count toward what we were told our hourly rate would be (I was paid 12% less an hour as a result of this, but had already turned down other job offers). Insufficient training.
