Decent benefits/discounts to theater and sporting events. Flexibility and working from home !!

Cons

Management lied about transition to VR and then proceeded to outsource to Nuance. Pay per line pre-Nuance 10 cents; post 3 cents. Bottom line is money- quite a savings for the hospital but final product looks unprofessional, mistakes galore (unedited left as is). VR is a sign of the times but hospital could've had the current employees carry on as editors but they chose to outsource with East Indians doing the majority of the work. So much for loyalty and 15 years of dedication.

Pros

Excellent support in a teaching hospital environment with a lot of opportunity for continuing education! You will work with a very skilled multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to attend many lectures that are free.

Cons

The pay is not competitive compared to other positions in the community and the health insurance is very expensive, especially for a family.
