Pros

Good benefits, but you ultimately end up paying a bunch out of pocket anyway for prescriptions and co-pay.

Cons

Where do I start? -My boss verbally harassed me and my employees and undermined our intelligence constantly. I know of at least 3 managers that have quit working under him, but he loves the power so there are a bunch that were fired due to them not being a "Yes Man." He would yell at me and was not very professional. He was also promoted to take over two regions..... Says a lot. -Upper management tries to play itself off as a new company when it's not. It's been around for 20 years with 30 stores in the US. There's nothing new about it. The fact that it still runs as a startup after 20 years was very scary. The name isn't even theirs. They bought the name from a store that was around a long time ago. This company prides itself on being Bold, Unique, and Creative.... with an unoriginal name. -You will constantly be threatened about the security of your job. -They WILL control your appearance. My boss told one of my employees that she needs to not have her head shaved by Monday..... it was Friday. You have to wear the worst uniform to make you look like a Cater Waiter. You are forced to wear red lipstick if you are a girl. You have to have bare nails, but if you want a color it has to be red. You are only allowed to wear black laces up brogues or black loafers. It's absolutely tacky. -The company does not take any responsibility for anything done on their end. If packages you receive end up damaged, it's your fault. Not the company who, ultimately ended up packaging it. That is just one example of the many. -All of the reviews that you have read about this place are very true. It sucks, but that's the way it is. It looks like a great company from the outside, but unfortunately it's not that way when actually working there. Do yourself a favor and save some of the stress, if you want to work retail, do it literally anywhere else.

Pros

Great Concept, Great Product.

Cons

The company seems to be going through ups and downs. It can at times be organized and structured, and then along the way someone drops the ball and all goes down the drain. The hiring process is a disaster. HR tries to sell the position as the greatest position ever to exist, and then you are completely let down by low wages, and disrespectful treatments, not to mention changes in duties. You can’t complain to HR for anything, because they will let everyone know what is going on with you. You will know you are being fired only by the way HR talks to you on the phone. They are unprofessional. They visit stores and provide no guidance. They come to malls to recruit, go around shopping and then come back and ask if there are any resumes we can share with them. Not to mention they talk behind each other’s back. Advise to UNO….change your training and hiring strategy.

Growing Company, Great Teams, Amazing Benefits

Pros

UNO is growing and finding its place in the US market. There can be growing pains, but the corporate teams were always available and did what they could to ease Spain's expectations, which at times could be unrealistic. The pay is competitive, medical benefits are incredibly generous (as is the discount) and holiday/time off is great. Peoples experiences are different from location to location. I would not generalize an entire company like previous reviews have done. It seems some former employees were not up to the challenge of a growing European brand. The expectations of my role, and the colleagues I have spoken to, were always made clear. I have never worked in such a diverse environment and am grateful for the experience.

Cons

Growing pains in the US
