Good place to get short term industry experience
Pros
They are somewhat flexible on when you come in, and you'll have plenty of time to learn and train when you're new. You will learn a lot of new skills if you come straight out of college and you can use them on your resume, especially if you want to continue a career doing lab work. Most of the time, the only stress I feel is put on me by myself and not by management.
Cons
Pay. They are not consistent with how much they pay each employee, even between those who hire on at the same position. You won't get a raise unless you ask for one, even if you do really good work, and they want so many years of experience before they promote so there is not a whole lot of opportunity to move up. Coworkers can be great or bad, it really depends. The job itself can be difficult to get used to but it takes time management skills and it gets easier the more you do it.
