Pros

Benefits are great Hours work great for school

Cons

Benefits don't kick in for a year (and if your hired seasonal even longer) Pay is low The worst employees advance. Someone completely missed a day, never called in, and got first choice if he wanted to leave or stay and get overtime the next day.

Pros

paid a lot for a no-brains job (PT-ers) union employees are virtually un-fireable benefits for union employees are second-to-none opportunity to do many things

Cons

promotion to FT is given to those who do not deserve it transfer is hard to do if you are non-union non-union benefits are expensive and suck if you go management you have to wait for them to promote SIX union employees to driver before you can be CONSIDERED

Pros

Fast paced work environment, never boring. Stable company with decent pay and benefits. Company name looks good on a resume'.

Cons

10+ hours work days. Union work environment. Little to no training for reassignments. Mgmt presents unrealistic goals. Minimal upper mgmt support - "just fix it" attitude. Supervisors earn less than the employees (drivers) they manage.
