Pros

The money. That's the only reason that anyone stays.

Cons

Everything else. I remember being so excited when I received the job offer, having such pride and excitement to work for such a reputable company. The only employees in my district in the business development dept that are not looking for another job- are those that have 15+ years already put into the company and feel they are stuck. I've never been treated with such disrespect. Their theory is "manage by exception", which means they will always find something wrong with your performance and tear you down accordingly. There is no "good job" ever uttered within the walls of any UPS. The public has such a wonderful perception of such an awful company and it is truly baffling. My only suggestion to anyone going through the long two month hiring/interview process would be to get out while you can. RUN. The management believes in motivation by fear. Recently spoken on a conference call by the highest operations official in our district; "Fire one and they'll all fall in line." (For no reason, he just wanted a BD employee to be fired so that the fear is always instilled in us.)

Pros

Not Too much stress, if your not a nimrod you will not lose your job. Work environment is really good and not too many managers are very technical so you have a lot of freedom to do what you want as long as it gets the job done

Cons

Upward mobility seems to be based on years, the focus is to move everything overseas which causes no movement because the amount of people displaced and the lack of retirement for old fogies who do nothing.
