Pros

Great start out pay and benefits. Programs to help pay for school. Retirement and investment opportunities available. If you have the right Management team in place, can be a fantastic and rewarding place to work at.

Cons

Starting positions are part-time. There can be a very big 'us verses them' mentality between Management and Union workers. Even though the Union is great at helping against being bullied by Management, they also like to try and bully Management. Hence the 'us verses them' mentality.

Pros

great pay and great benefits.

Cons

It's a large company and you are just a number and not very family friendly, be prepared to miss your kids events.

Pros

The pay was decent for being part time, decent benefits. Not manual labor (supposedly)

Cons

Upper management will yell at you, union workers will yell at you. Yelling at lower management is what everyone in the warehouse does to release their anger. Upper management will yell at you to help the unloader or loader if they aren't going fast enough, but then if you get a grievance filed on you they will yell at you for that. I'm pro union, but finally going to management made realize just how bad teamsters are. Nothing can be done about bad employees. You write them up a few times then they fight it and keep their job. Going into management at UPS was one of the worst career moves I ever made.
