Pros

UPS has terrific benefits, even if you're only working part-time. The pay is quite good, and you get weekends and many holidays off. Additionally, working at UPS can keep you in good shape.

Cons

The work environment can be pretty negative, as both package handlers and drivers complain a lot. While they may dislike the job, hardly anyone ever quits, because the compensation is so good. Also, while UPS strongly promotes safety, injuries still occur, and working there can be hard on one's body.

Pros

Great benefits, Guaranteed raises every year, co-workers are what make the job, and you'll most likely get along with all of them you talk to. Management will let you come in late if you have another job. No drug testing.. not even if you're driving.

Cons

PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY!! If you are hired here, and wish to advance, you can't if you work hard. It's all about seniority and bidding jobs based on seniority to advance. My first couple years loading at UPS I broke records, I was the one every supervisor wanted. I always thought my hard work would pay off.. IT DOESN'T!! Don't kill yourself. Management will abuse you if they find out you can work hard. You will have extremely lazy co-workers around you, who do half your work in twice the time, and they get treated better than you.

Pros

Great for getting some Christmas money in. Good hours that go fast.

Cons

The jump seat is not ergonomic, feel like you have run a marathon each day, and never really have time for lunch. the wage department is a bit of a shambles, if you do this job make sure you note your hours. They get it wrong a lot, and dont necessarily fix it when you tell them either!
