Pros

Lots of pros not many cons. varies by location and unit/leadership and individuals personal experiences during time.

Cons

Leadership and duty station based off of individuals personal experiences. Pay is very low and does not match the hours of work and job duties.

Pros

Every 15th and the end of the month, you receive a check (should you decide not to get a monthly check and split it mid-month). Continued raises vary by percentage approved annually. The PayChart will show income raises based on time in grade.

Cons

Salary not hourly driven. The majority of days are 8+ hours, some days can be less if planned correctly. The climate, work/life balance, Culture, and Values are directly correlated to the management at local and higher echelons. Pros within the Cons: you will be able to identify great leaders from the "not-as-great" pretty quickly when leadership changes every 2 years on average do to movement cycles.
