Jobs Program

Pros

You might get to work with some "interesting" technologies however you'll need to be very flexible with your definition of "interesting." If you want a job that pays you to mostly send emails and discuss things in meetings for hours on end, this place is for you.

Cons

Trump V2.0 probably takes the cake here, but there are so many. The workplace is inflexible and most coworkers are technically inept despite having advanced technical degrees. Poor performance is tolerated and people rise to their level of incompetence. Management will go to great lengths to defend favored employees when performance-related concerns come up from the working level about specific associates. Passive aggression is pervasive and seemingly a desirable characteristic in this workplace.

DONT DO IT

Pros

Yea the benefits you get seem nice but not worth the trade off of a healthy body and mind. If you do enlist PLEASE chose an MOS with skills that can translate OUTSIDE of ARMY, if not the struggle to find a job is real.

Cons

*long hours *away from family *long distance relocation *very low pay, especially for those that didn't join after high-school and worked, you realize pretty soon, unless youre married, youre making less than what you would on the outside.

Pros

Generally speaking for those of us in FORSCOM like I was you do get a lot of time off in between major training/deployments. Healthcare is actually good despite the memes

Cons

Base salary for enlisted sucks. Bonuses are kind of decent for 68K MOS at least. You will do the most mind-numbingly stupid things just to fill time many days. Leadership is completely unit-dependent. If you're single just get ready to be treated like absolute dirt outside of work with barracks and DFAC quality. Carson gave gas station food every weekend while taking away your BAS.
