Poor training, compensation below average for other federal agencies, promotion potential is minimal, job assignments don't match skill sets

DIA is a prime example, definition for "inefficiency" and "corruption." Extremely top heavy; boy/girl network that promotes around who-knows-who back room deals, completely counter to advertised rules of performance. Civilian leadership drunk on arrogance leaving military and civilian staff oppressed and depressed. Dead-end assignment for military unless attache or looking to retire at a spot to seek a follow-on government civilian job. Recent college grads: AVOID, only consider as a start point to establish gain TS/SCI clearance and learn basics. Military: REFUSE assignment unless as attache, formal training requirement, or off-site collection mission. Basic primary unclassified communication & coordination FORCED through limited, outdated classified communication option.
