Pros
Excellent family/work life ratio. Since life happens, it's always great to know that the company will help in what ever way possible.
Management is easily approachable and truly wants you to succeed. It is a tough industry and highly competitive, so knowing that they are there to help regardless aids in empowering employees to get the job done to earn the sale.
Instead of teaching you how to do the job, they teach you how to figure it out yourself. Everything seems to always change in this industry, so there is rarely a one size fits all answer. Knowing how to figure it out is highly important.
Coming to work always willing to learn something new, or even a new way to do something, will aid in learning the industry and company.
In general, employees are always willing to help regardless of who you are or what the problem is. Even those that are "grumpy/retired on duty" will help.
Any tool needed to solve the customers problems is easily available. Sure some vendors are better than others, but we have the flexibility to choose which one we buy from.
The general attitude is excellent. As one of the Vice Presidents told me during my interview, the company strives for service. "Because of the service we provide, if we started selling only candy bars, we'd still have our client base". Here they train problem solvers and service providers that you won't find else where.
This company has provided me with an opportunity to learn a new industry and does what ever they need to help ensure I succeed. The atmosphere and employees have a balance between blue and white collar, as many of the white collar guys came from the bottom themselves and don't forget where they came from.
Cons
None that comes to mind. The company gives you the tools to succeed, it is up to you to use them and take the advise you're given.
