Pros

You think you are doing good work. In reality you spend time doing nothing but waste money and take trainings. Great place for lazy people.

Cons

1% of employees do all the work. Cannot be promoted without reapplying. Laziness rewarded.

Pros

The Mission, the people, work environment, the organizational culture--all great. One of the best in the federal government.

Cons

Federal government employees are frequent skapegoats by political interests. This results in reduced budgets, lack of proper recognition, and morale issues.

Pros

Everyone is very helpful. The job is laid back and the other workers are extremely nice and explain stuff to you.

Cons

The only downside I can think of is shoveling fish poop. It isn't the most glorious job either. That's the only downside.
