All though they have been through tough times, I do not believe they have learned from their experiences. Lack of respect shown to hourly employees is severely lacking. Like most corporations, they have had to cut back on staff. But, employees are spread too thin and too much is expected of them. Hourly employees rarely feel the vested interest in the company that salaried employees feel. I do not think it is a matter of the 'successful' upper management employee being more committed and dedicated; they are getting more in return for their efforts. Efforts which may not always equal those of hourly employees. They just need to listen more, and not just say they are listening.
