Pros

The CEO has no loyalty to American workers that have worked 10 years+ for his company. It’s really great to see your job referenced as “routine replenishment activities” on a slide when it’ announced your entire department is being sent to a foreign country. What’s better is the experience of being let go is the equivalent of being fired by Greg on Succession. If the role of demand planner is still relevant and needs an army of 40 people to get the job done, why are all the roles being taken from American citizens and being moved to India?

Cons

Company is now a chop shop with people being let go left and right. Pietro was a much better CEO and I enjoyed working at US Foods while he was there. New CEO is hell bent on stripping the company down to the bare minimum to run it. Good luck with foreigners understanding the nuances of all the American regions and their buying habits.

Pros

- At field level, people seem to care about others - The benefits are good - Managers invest in you - Experienced staff at corporate seem to be willing to help field operations

Cons

- Absolutely no uniformity in operations and how policies are enforced - Work from home time has been taken away with probable changes coming again in 2024 - ELT makes decisions for the field that make no sense as they have no idea what the field does - Technology is ancient for a company this size - Operational efficiency is not a high priority for the field operations - No formal training program for new hires - Time off is average at best, no remote days should have increased PTO but it did not - Financial decisions are being made at the expense of employee satisfaction and retention - Focus seems to be on just powering through problems, nothing is ever fully resolved
