Pros

I can honestly say there wasn't a single pro to working at this company. Having had extremely successful jobs at multiple Fortune 50 companies, this was hands down the worst accounting job I've ever had. If you value your career, having a great working environment and culture, and having work-life balance, DO NOT WORK HERE. Don't let anyone convince you that only disgruntled employees are complaining here, this is the first time I said to myself 'Hey I should've listened to Glassdoor.' Don't make the same mistake I did!

Cons

Absolutely zero transparency in the interview process. Lied about the job responsibilities and definitely lied about the working hours expectations. From a job responsibility perspective, the work that is done here is more clerical than substantive and the clerical work that needs to be done is done with no reasonable deadlines, it's stressful busy work that adds 0 value and 0 fulfillment. When concerns were brought up to Senior Management regarding "I feel like I work more hours while contributing less and doing way more busy work," the response I got from management was "Everyone has to start somewhere." When I quit, they were more concerned with asking back for a signing bonus than to schedule an exit interview (never scheduled) to see why MULTIPLE brand new hires were leaving in a matter of months.

Pros

Awesome people. Challenging work. Responsible for your own performance and ability to work independently while still focusing on team goal and accomplishments.

Cons

All transparency is gone from this organization. Every time you hit a point that you're functioning well and team performance is ready to hit the next level--they haphazardly reorganize. Only a matter of time before it fails because the decision makers do not understand the work to get to the goal. The more lean we are the more results will be lacking.

IT Has no Leadership

Pros

My experience at US Foods has been disappointing, marred by poor management, a lack of professionalism, and an unwelcoming atmosphere.

Cons

I worked at US Foods for a year, bringing with me 24 years of experience in IT. Unfortunately, this has been one of the poorest organizational experiences I've encountered. IT leadership is largely uninterested in engaging with employees and exhibits poor communication skills. They lack clear objectives and specific knowledge in critical areas. Instead of taking responsibility, they tend to blame and point fingers. On three separate occasions, they fired the vendor project team simply for disagreeing with them. Their approach is rooted in outdated legacy systems, and when modern methods present challenges, they choose to dismiss the team rather than educate themselves on new methodologies and implement effective change management strategies. The leadership team is unwelcoming and exhibits significant favoritism and bias, especially towards white employees. This bias persists even when more knowledgeable individuals are present. The project team lacks trust, which breeds rumors and leads to leadership taking unwarranted actions against employees. Non-white employees often face curt and unkind treatment from the leadership.
