      Providing great incentives for new sailors to advance their career such as Selective Reenlistment Bonuses, Specialized Training that converts into civilian life, A chance to purchase a home using VA Home Loan, Networking, Healthcare to include medical and dental to cover you and your family, life insurance, Traveling the world.

      Cons

      Some issues the Navy could do better on would be, Mental Health which means not turning away a patient just because they are not suicidal, If a Sailor wants to separate then the command should be fully willing to let them take advantage of DOD Skillbridge program. Also consider being away from family for great lengths of time without contact, Stressful and high demanding positions within your job, Long working hours, Low numbers for advancement, having to take on jobs outside your rate, No overtime, working holidays,

      Pros

      Stable employment and income, upward mobility, great medical benefits, free education, good pay/compensation, outstanding retirement.

      Cons

      Lack of work life balance, stigma that comes with being in the military, family is not a priority. Orders do not guarantee you families stability. I love the Navy, but personalities can often make things worse than they need to be, a bad CO, Chief or Department head is the equivalent to having a bad boss in the civilian sector.
