Pros

The pay is great for what we do. Some of my coworkers are awesome. Working hard for the public good.

Cons

There is no employee suggestion program. Very few people in the administration are needed. Most spew contempt for those who actually handle mail. Most of management come from the ranks of sick, lame and lazy employees. Great benefits and five weeks of vacation every year plus more sick leave than most responsible healthy people can use.

Pros

USPS offers great Salary, benefits, vacation pay, sick leave, and retirement if you can get an application and interview.

Cons

USPS promotes upper management to positions beyond their experience and ability, which causes a lot of work area tension at times. Friends are promoted despite lack of ability or experience to lead or manage others.
