Pros

Steady paycheck if don't need benefit.

Cons

No benefit. Walking all day long carry up to 35 lbs of mails/packages. Expose to all kind of weather elements. Dog bites. Pays $15/hour with no benefit = job pays $10 with benefit.

Pros

Decent pay, though I took a $6 an hour pay cut. Work outside. Customers are pretty nice usually.

Cons

For a office with 2 city routes they hired a second city carrier assistant...so my hours were cut in half. Managers distrust you for no reason. Hot when it is hot and cold when it is cold.

Pros

Great way to stay in shape. You get to meet a lot of people.

Cons

Some dogs are very protective of their home. When starting off, you carry more mail then one route, and are expected to finish on time. Some people treat you like a contractor.
