Pros

Used to be a decent job for middle class-now just bringing in temp workers w/ no benefits. This will not work in this type of job.

Cons

Way too much overpaid management. I watched my supervisor and postmaster spend 75% of their day on personal phonecalls. Yet the office was shorted severely of clerks. Terrible management from top to bottom has put the PO in it's current mess. Promote qualified people, not just relatives and whatever joe blow wants the job. Employees should have to prove themselves before getting promoted.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits and can apply with just a high school diploma or GED. Opportunities for advancement are there if you want them.

Cons

Well if you don't like change better stay away. Things change a lot within the postal service...but you just adapt. Think we will see major changes over next couple of years.
