Pros

Good pay, steady work, outdoor work, fun driving mail truck, good benefits after a year if a non career employee great medical benefits

Cons

no stability, lowered pay for Transitional employees work 6 days a week, never know what time you will be called in if you are a TE Letter Carrier Unstability in the USPS as a whole...was a good stable place at one time, but I think that time is now over....sad to say

As a CCA you will have the opportunity to become a career city carrier. You also have the opportunity to receive some of the benefits career city carriers receive......

Pros

The job itself is a great job. I love my customers. Pay is good.

Cons

Non career position. Uncertain future. Managment is hostile to non career employees. Avg 58 hours a week 6 days a week. Get paid for vacation but are not allowed to take it. Request for days off for wedding, funerals, and medical appoints are frequently denied.
