Pros

Great benefits!! 36 days off per year or 7 wks and 1 day. The companies 401K plan is the best! I also get 13 sick days a year that will roll over the following year. My heath insurance is the federal plan which is a lot cheaper and more coverage that the normal plans outside the company. I get raises every year based on my performance. Last year it was 14%. Also, the job has the ultimate security even in bad economies.

Cons

Poor communication. Often the public finds out info before the employees do. Working for the public can be very difficult. Weekly telecons and constant confortations with employees over performance is not for everyone.

High pay, no benefits

Pros

work independently. I loved being in the office with my coworkers, we helped each other if needed, then I loved being out on the road by myself and listening to my radio as I drove from box to box.

Cons

no benefits, unless you became a career employee as others quit or retired. The hardest part of the job was not knowing how long each day would be, you worked until it was all delivered, and having to work every Saturday. You are classified as part time, but work six days a week. Our management was constantly changing.
