      Pros

      The Canton Repository team is full of wonderful, talented journalists who care deeply about telling the stories of their community and produce fantastic work. Reporters are unionized, which is fantastic and provided some perks around job protection, salaries, and benefits.

      Cons

      Like a lot of major newspaper chains, Gannett is known for broad layoffs and anti union sentiments. Many of the newsrooms themselves are fantastic, but working for a major chain comes with some precariousness.
