The benefits have been generous.
Cons
The benefits are being taken away more and more. No more educational benefits for real schools and traditional programs. Management is technically illiterate and hires and promotes people who have little technical acumen in the tech domain. Higher-ups shake things up to look like they know what they are doing, end up buying bad services from other companies because they don't know how to get things done themselves. Middle-management is frightened and constantly looking over their shoulder and fighting each other / stretches their teams thin to look good to the new management.
