Lazy and Biased Management

Pros

Used to have good benefits and good bonuses - not anymore

Cons

Management here is so lazy and biased. I was being stalked and harassed by a co-worker. I reported it to my manager and he told me I was just being an attention seeking drama queen. It wasn't until another employee (male employee of course) also complained about the same employee that my complaint was taken seriously. Another manager told me I was being an entitled millennial anytime I sought managerial guidance or asked to be treated the same as other employees. She also told me as a woman in the work place I was expected to dress a certain way, smile all the time, and always be "cheerful". USAA made both of them VPs. That's what "leadership" looks like at USAA.

Pros

Some flexibility in work schedule depending on your manager at the time; benefits and possible bonus

Cons

Promotion is based on tenure and seniority rather than work ethic, skillset, and overall performance; most management has no actual experience in their field or as a manager they were just made manager because they were at USAA for X number of years; people spend too much time arguing about who has the more important/higher ranking job and more important project vs what value the work actually brings.
