Pros

The only thing I like is talking to the people on the phone - sad but true

Cons

Too micromanaged and there's lots of favoritism. The more you do the more they want - never good enough

Pros

USAA is a very strong company with strong ties with the military. USAA has exceptional benefits and co-workers. There is a lot of opportunity to learn on the job. For example there is a fabulous mentoring program. There are also committees that you can participate on to expand your knowledge. USAA pays for your education. Management really wants to hear your ideas and many of the changes that happen come from the ground up. There are several different programs for getting your ideas to management.

Cons

Difficult to promote and I don't like the call center environment for claims adjusting. I think there could be improvement on the process of adjusting claims.

Pros

Good benefits, nice bonus, gym on site

Cons

Everything else. Its a very corporate environment where the only way to succeed is to brown nose. The financial advisor position is a joke, most time is spent trying to explain to the member why they were randomly transferred to you. There is a reason this position is always posted, nobody stays once they are hired.
