Pros

-401k is amazing - make sure you contribute the max -Health insurance - never had to pay a copay -Dental insurance - also very good -Employee Education Credit- got my Master's degree while I was there, 100% paid! -Cafeteria - my favorite was the salmon and the flank steak salads -Health insurance- they also pay for 3 psychologist visits for when you start going crazy -Bonus- while this seems great- they are underpaying you for all the hours and overtime they request you to work. You will be on the phone 100% of the time - no idle time whatsoever so it evens out in the end. You probably should be getting paid more.

Cons

-Management will make you physically sick. They micromanage to the point you will question if you are still human capable of making your own decisions. They push on sales so hard, and mark you down on scorecards for stupid little things like not suggesting the mobile app, even if the person hangs up on you or is just trying to get off the phone. -Advancement? In claims yes, any other department NO! Don't fall for the "if you network you can get in to any dept" This is absolutely not true. Without experience they will not consider you for any position outside of claims (maybe IT) So if you came to USAA right after graduation you are stuck in claims for life. Do yourself a favor, get an advanced degree then bounce the first chance you get. -Scheduling- yes they give you tons of PTO but you never get the days off you want. My advice is just don't ask off and call in on the days that you want off, even holidays. Just don't give them a heads up because then you'll be on the radar. You can miss up to 3 consecutive days without a doctor's note. Also, don't let your boss scare you- the firing process is extensive and requires lots of documentation so call in at your discretion. -Drama - being unfaithful is the norm. Managers regularly hook up with naive new employees and coworkers hook up with each other even if they're married. There are regular happy hours where situations spiral out of control and honestly this is a reflection of the self-esteem of the people that work here. Everyone hates their job and tries to make the best of it by partying it up on Friday evening.

Pros

Benefits, pto and the fitness center. The employees were nice by and large too.

Cons

Management has their heads up their butts. Bob Davis took care of the employees, but the jerks in charge didn't like his leadership and so things went down hill. Stress will kill and ruin your employees lives you monsters.

Pros

good benefits and bonus, gym on site, cafeteria on site and cheap.

Cons

strictly timed breaks, forced to sell other products, call center, customer's are very entitled, low moral, base salary low, no opportunity to get position off the phones in Tampa, a help line to call for guidance, but it is counted against you. Back to back calls with no time in between for the entire shift.
