Pros

When you get a sell you make good money.

Cons

Long hours. Some weeks you will work 60 hrs a week and not make a single sell. The leads they sell on Vanilla Soft are horrible. It is people that have already been called 7 or 8 times before you even get to them and they expect you to make between 200-300 a day. Most days you will get the same lead twice and they want you to call them again and again. Tell me how that is a "good lead". Of my first 10 applications only 3 of them were approved. They are nice people but they are completely clueless to the demands they put on there employees. People have families and spouses and they dont care about you spending time with them they only care about making sells. Sometimes making all the money in the world will not replace the time you miss spending with your family. You have to ask yourself what is more important to you. I choose family over money any day. Not to mention they dont fight for you when you lose a sell because it is declined, because of the strict rules they have. They just give you excuses because they are lazy and dont want to upset the apple cart because it might hinder their chances of keeping their jobs whenever they are the ones making all the money.

Pros

The money is the best pro to working here along with the freedom. I have worked for this co for 2 plus years and I joined this office mid July of 2019 and made $98,678.24 through December 31st 2019 with a total lead cost of zero. I also think it's a pro that I have control over my own schedule and although I work hard nobody tells me when to lunch or how long and when I can take vacation.

Cons

The biggest con is that I see people who don't have a sales background or at least a strong sales aptitude come into this business and think magic will happen...then they blame everyone else when it doesn't. This position is not for people who do not have a background in sales or a least a very strong desire to develop that aptitude AND at least 2 months cash reserves in the bank while you get started. I have a sales background that spans over 20 years and I was licensed to sell insurance for many years before joining this company. Plenty of people come here without my background and they do well but those people also had a strong sales background or a strong aptitude with a couple months reserves in the bank.

Pros

freedom, the opportunity to build and grow financially. The feeling of ringing the bell and getting a hard-earned paycheck.

Cons

I wish I wasn't blindsided with all the fees for the licensing process, the fees for getting into more states, and the high monthly fees to operate. The hiring process seemed like I was getting into some Mary Kay of insurance, pyramid-scheme. If it weren't for glassdoor I would have avoided this like the plague. There seem to be no answers on how to get higher quality leads or effectively get access to more prospects so you had better be comfortable with having a sizable upfront investment and staying in the RED your first few months until you figure something out. On a realistic note, at the end of the day, this is a job for a certain type of person. There's very little financial security upfront so you will need to be hungry and willing to do what it takes every day to be sustainable let alone successful. The cons are what you make of them.

USHEALTH Advisors Response

Thank you for your comments and your advice. We will endeavor to improve the USHA opportunity wherever possible. I understand your frustration with leads. Like all sales and marketing organizations, we recognize the importance of leads. We also recognize that the quality of sales leads is at best, an imprecise science. Rather than relying solely on sales leads, let me encourage you to engage in your own marketing efforts utilizing the tools provided by USHA. For more information on this topic, please visit our Ask USHA series...or ask your up line sales leader to share the video of the "Growing Your Business" Panel Discussion I hosted at our 2019 Leaders Meeting.
