Pros

Coworkers are very nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. Lots of little perks, employee discounts, and coffee. Busy work day makes time work fast. Day doesn't start til 8:30. hour lunch.

Cons

Lengthy On boarding. Sometimes thrown into a project without much information. Days can be unpredictable in the beginning.

Pros

I have to say, the only Pro working at USI was the unique availability to work remotely but that is about it. I can't think of any other positive thing to say about this company. If at all possible, avoid working here and if you already do work there, I feel bad for you that you're stuck with a lousy exec team and poor HR department. Remember, HR departments are there to protect the company from you, not the other way around...

Cons

See above! There are no solid processes and everyone works at their own pace regardless of the tight deadlines. There is not one manager or exec working in this office that I would trust my career to so if your a young professional just starting out in your career, avoid this place.

Pros

Producers are compensated really well even if everything else is ignored.

Cons

Everything else. USI is so focused on new business and acquisitions that their is no support for service teams. They don't care if they lose business. Long term clients leave constantly and nothing is done to prevent it. Services teams are so understaffed that Account Managers do everything from accounting to certificates, to marketing and depending on the size of the client, claims handling. New clients have whole teams dedicated to them, but come renewal it's only the producer and account manager. Client service means nothing to USI.
