      Pros

      - Training for new hires has vastly improved from 5 years ago when I came on. When I started, it was sink or swim with little to no support. - Compensation very competitive at the beginning. - Their Summit Award is a nice incentive to strive to meet/exceed goals. - USI works hard to foster a positive work environment with ways to recognize coworkers with Celebrate Success monthly nominations.

      Cons

      Promotions and raises are slow. Annual bonuses have so many contingencies attached that they are rare/disappointing.

      I enjoy working at USI and given the opportunity to quote personal lines insurance and working with people across the U.S. Great benefits. I have earned by PRMA Certificate. I have been selected as a Summit Award winner, twice since I have worked at USI. My manager for the past 6yrs is understanding, courteous and true professional with a personal touch. I have made true, great long lasting friends. USI Gives Back volunteer work is a fun experience-helping our community in the San Antonio area.

      Sometimes the work load can be over whelming but my managers always tried to give me support.

      1.) Top notch training to ensure success of new sales producers. Best in the industry. 2.) Management cares about the success and growth of all of their employees. 3.) A very collaborative environment. Encourages team based selling rather than being a lone ranger like most brokers. 4.) If you follow the USI model you will be successful. 5.) Very competitive pay with chance to have ownership in the company. 6.) The OMNI platform is steps beyond what any of the competitors have to offer. 7.) They are always one step ahead of the competition and very innovative with their technology and product offerings.

      Cons

      Honestly, I have been in the industry for over 28 years and they are the 5th broker I have worked for. By far the best company I have worked for. They expect a lot out of their employees but at the same time you are rewarded for the work you put in.
